This Privacy Policy applies to Ramy (the “App”), created by AppVerse (“we”, “us”, “our”). Ramy is your spiritual companion for Ramadan, designed to help you track prayers, Quran reading, and nightly worship while respecting your privacy completely.
2. Information We Collect
Ramy collects minimal data necessary for core functionality:
a) Personal Information (Local Only)
- Name (if entered by user — stored locally only)
- Selected language preference
- Selected city/location for prayer times
- Prayer tracking history (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha)
- Quran pages read and Juz completion status
- Last 10 nights worship tracking
- Daily actions checklist (charity, dua, dhikr, etc.)
- Spiritual streaks and statistics
All this information is stored locally on your device only.We do not have access to your personal worship data.
b) Location Data (Optional)
- If you select a city or allow location access, Ramy uses it only to calculate accurate prayer times
- Location is never tracked in background
- Location data never leaves your device
- You can manually select any city without granting location permissions
c) Anonymous Usage Data
- Feature usage patterns (which screens are used most)
- App performance metrics
- Crash reports for bug fixes
This data is anonymized and cannot identify you personally.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide accurate prayer times based on your selected city
- Track your Ramadan worship progress locally
- Display your spiritual statistics and streaks
- Improve app features and fix bugs
- Personalize your experience (language, theme preferences)
4. What We Do NOT Do
- No accounts required — you never need to sign up
- No cloud storage — your data stays on your device
- No selling of personal data — ever
- No tracking across other apps
- No background location tracking
- No sharing of worship history
5. Third-Party Services
Ramy uses minimal third-party services:
- AlAdhan Prayer Times API — to fetch accurate prayer times based on your city
Only your selected city is sent to this API. No personal data.
- Analytics (optional) — anonymized crash reporting and feature usage
You can disable this in app settings.
6. Data Storage & Security
All personal worship data is stored locally on your device using secure local storage. We implement reasonable security measures to protect data during transmission (for prayer time API calls).
Since data is stored locally, you have complete control. Uninstalling the app will remove all your data from the device.
7. Your Rights (GDPR & Global)
Because your data is stored locally, you already have full control:
- Access — view all your data directly in the app
- Delete — clear data via app settings or uninstall
- Export — your data never leaves your device
- Rectify — edit any information directly in the app

8. Children's Privacy
Ramy is safe for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app contains no inappropriate content and requires no personal information to function.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal compliance. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of Ramy after changes constitutes acceptance.
